From my first consultation with Mr. Hussain on the 2nd of July, he instilled confidence in me through his clear professionalism, caring approach and I felt I was being listened to. His diagnosis and explanation were clear and his recommended actions and outcomes put me at ease. Even though these were not all good news. Mr. Hussain said I would not get any worse but because I had some permanent nerve damage he could not confirm what would return. My physical symptoms were, pins and needles in my arms, loss of feeling in my left arm from my elbow. Unable to button clothes. I had spasticity in my legs so much so I had to use a stick to "shuffle". One week after my double discectomy (C4/5/6) performed in Hull Royal on the 17th. September I am so pleased to write that immediately the muscle cramps / spasms disappeared. My left arm, which felt dead from the elbow and painful is nearly normal. My spasticity has gone and the muscles in my legs function. I just now need to learn to walk again. I start physiotherapy this week. Mr. Hussain and his team have performed an amazing turnaround in my life to date. I see small improvements every day and look forward to meeting him again in 3 months so I can once again thank him for bringing hope back into my life.

I saw Dr Hussain at his clinic at Castle Hill Hull on the 23/5/18 for a consultation about my neck, he discussed his findings of my MRI scan. He told me I had a large posteria disc extrusion at C3/C4 which markedly was compressing my spinal cord, this was the reason I was having so much pain in my left shoulder radiating down my arm.he talked about the options, and, I opted for surgery. I had my operation on the 27/7/18 by Mr Hussain, he removedC3/C4 with cervical discectomy with fusion. I found Dr Hussain a kind, caring, professional Surgeon and would recommend him to anyone. I highly recommend Dr Hussain, his surgical team and every single member of staff on Ward 4. I received exceptional care from each and every one of them when I went for surgery last week. Dr Hussain explained everything brilliantly, he had the time to allow things to sink in, giving opportunity for questions. The doctors in his team I spoke to were clear and consistent in what I was being told throughout. He was there when I woke up to check me over and explain how it had gone, then went to speak to my family, even though it was late at night and long past home time. I had every confidence in them, and I was right to. Ward 4, whilst busy was a pleasant environment with caring and professional staff who did a fabulous job. I genuinely sat in bed smiling at what these people did for me. Follow up also brilliant, but my favourite part was the genuine smile on his face that I was doing so well. I cannot thank them enough.
